The second strength is it includes many hidden gems. The two big strengths of this book is the reviews are by fans for fans, no cheap cash-in here. The reviews are very similar to those on the HG101 website, but excludes some of the history in favour of much shorter, succinct reviews. This book is full of so many gems, it is absolutely crammed to braking point and each entry into the 200 has a little 'you may also like this.' section expanding the games covered even further.Ī labour of love that, again, has a rustic quality that not everyone will gel with but I really enjoy dipping into these books.more

A labour of love that, again, has a rustic quality that not everyone will ge Has that 'rustic' Hardcore Gaming 101 feel which may put some off (questionable design, printing etc) but at the heart of this book and the rest of the 101 series is absolutely love and devotion to video games and their history.
